Douglass M. Hasell, M.D.
Dr. Hasell is a Board Certified Pediatrician and Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. After graduating with Honors from the University of California, Santa Barbara, he received his M.D. degree from the Medical University of South Carolina and then completed his Pediatric Residency at the University of California, Irvine.
His professional experience has included serving as Assistant Clinical Professor of Pediatrics at the University of California, Irvine and Pediatric Clinic Director at the North Orange County Community Clinic, Chief of Staff at the Commonwealth Health Center in Saipan, Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands and as an associate with his wife in private practice in San luis Obispo, CA prior to their move to Florida. The Pediatric Specialists was founded by Dr’s Hasell and Pham at their current location in March of 1997.
Thuy T. Pham, M.D.
Dr. Pham is a Board Certified Pediatrician and has been a member of the Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics for the past 17 years. Dr. Pham graduated Phi Beta Kappa from Stanford University and earned her M.D. at the University of California, San Diego in 1988. She completed her residency at the University of California, Irvine. Before moving to Florida in 1997, she practiced pediatrics with her husband, Dr. Hasell at the Commonwealth Health Center and then in San Luis Obispo, California.
Dr. Pham is also the only pediatrician in the state of Florida who is an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant. She dedicates her expertise to helping breastfeeding mothers and babies. Dr. Pham speaks French and Vietnamese.
Dr. Pham and Dr. Hasell have been married for 17 years and are the parents of a daughter and twin boys.
Sheridan Hernandez, M.D.
Dr. Sheridan Hernandez is a Board Certified Pediatrician and a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. She was born in the United Kingdon, and moved to the United States as a teenager. She graduated summa cum laude and with honors from the City College of New York with a B.S. degree. She received her M.D. from Cornell University Medical College in 1995, and in 1998 she completed her specialty training in pediatrics at Columbia University Medical College. Before moving to Florida, Dr. Hernandez practiced pediatrics in rural North Carolina.
Dr. Hernandez and her husband Jorge are the proud parents of two children, Alberto and Nathalie.
Christopher Pope, ARNP, CPNP
Chris is a certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner. He graduated from the University of Missouri-Columbia with his B.S. in nursing in 1995 and then earned his Masters in Nursing at the University of Missouri-St. Louis in 2002. Chris has specialized in pediatrics since 1996 including three years at All Children's Hospital in St. Petersburg, Florida and four years at St. Louis Children’s Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri.
